I am a molecular biologist utilizing genomic methods and computational analysis to understand the roles of chromatin in genome stability. As a PhD candidate in the MacAlpine group at Duke University, I am investigating helicase activation and DNA unwinding within chromatin at origins of replication in the budding yeast. I am also developing my teaching practice through my roles as a teaching assistant and laboratory mentor for undergraduates.
